Warranty & Return Policy

  1. Warranty & Return Policy
    All products sold by My Teknology Computer Inc. are covered by the Manufacturers warranty unless otherwise stated. Defective items may be returned for replacement within 14 days from receipt subject to the manufacturers/distributors and/or My Teknology Computer Inc. restrictions. In most cases, you must obtain a case number by contacting the manufacturers support department BEFORE we can authorize the return of the item(s). The case number serves as proof that the item has been confirmed as defective by the manufacturer. All product returns must have a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by My Teknology Computer Inc.. To request an RMA, make sure that you have the manufacturers case number and contact our Customer Service department.  Note that some manufacturers have a zero-return policy and their goods cannot be returned through the retail channel regardless of the circumstances in which case any defects are covered directly by the manufacturer under the terms of their warranty. 

    Items returned without a RMA number issued by our company will be rejected and returned to the customer freight collect.
     
  2. RMA's are only valid under manufacturers/distributors return policies. The required return date will be communicated upon issuance of a RMA # by My Teknology Computer Inc. but is usually limited to 7 business days.  In the event of the goods not being returned within the time limited specified by the RMA, the RMA will be cancelled, the goods will no longer be returnable, and you will have to seek repair/replacement directly from the manufacturer.
     
  3. Defective items may be returned for replacement subject to the following restrictions:
    • All products must be returned in original condition including packaging, documentation, warranty cards, manuals, discs, and accessories.
    • In some cases the distributor may require you to contact the manufacturer to obtain a case number which confirms the manufacturer agrees that your product is defective.
    • RMA's are only valid for Manufacturer/distributor specified return guidelines.
    • Defective consumables are returnable for exchange only.
    • All returns must be shipped freight prepaid unless otherwise stated.  The product should be shipped inside another box to protect the original packaging unless the product was originally shipped to you without additional packaging. 
    • Returns through the retail channel are for refund or credit on account.  For an immediate replacement of your product, you would need to place a new order on our website.  When the original item is received by distributor/manufacturer and verified as meeting the return requirements, you will be credited for the defective product. We will not be responsible in the event that you place a new order our the distributor/manufacturer rejects the original product. A new order must be placed in order for the system to cross-ship upon waiting for the returned product.
    • Any returned items found to be non-defective or other in other than the specified, may be rejected and returned to you freight collect.
    • IMO, Final Sale, Open Box, Clearance, Refurbished, As-Is, and other used and/or non-returnable items may or may not have a warranty from the manufacturer or third party vendor.  All such items are non-returnable for any reason.

    After 14 days from the date of purchase per the invoice date of the goods, no returns or replacements will be accepted (unless otherwise pre-approved by the manufacturer) and the client must contact the manufacturer for warranty service.

    Unless otherwise noted, warranty terms apply only to merchandise shipped within Canada. Merchandise forwarded to other international locations may not be covered under the manufacturers warranty.
     

  4. Order Cancellation
    My Teknology Computer Inc. reserves the right to cancel an order at it's discretion or to issue a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for merchandise that is advertised in error, is unexpectedly out of stock, does not conform to specifications, or was shipped in error.

    In keeping with our fast delivery policy, orders received by My Teknology Computer Inc. are usually processed right away giving almost no chance for a customer to cancel an order.   Once a customer places an order on our website or gives directions for a My Teknology Computer Inc. employee to place an order on their behalf, the order cannot be cancelled without the approval of My Teknology Computer Inc..  An order that has been shipped to the customer, is in transit to My Teknology Computer Inc. to be forwarded to the customer, or in the case of a pick up order, has been shipped by a supplier to My Teknology Computer Inc., or is ready for pick up from My Teknology Computer Inc., cannot be cancelled.  My Teknology Computer Inc. makes every effort to accommodate cancellation requests however since we process orders very quickly, most orders cannot be cancelled and the cancellation of an order is at the sole discretion of  My Teknology Computer Inc..   My Teknology reserves the right to charge an order cancellation fee to recoup any costs incurred by a customer cancelling an order.   Such a fee would usually only be applicable when stock was ordered in and received and is either not returnable to there's a fee to return the stock or if the order was charged to the clients credit card since third credit card processing fees are usually non-refundable.   Special ordered items and factory orders cannot be cancelled for any reason. 
     
  5. Warranty Policy
    My Teknology Computer Inc. is committed to work with you to ensure that every product under warranty performs to the manufacturer's specifications. Please check the item description for warranty details.

    The information, services, products, and materials contained in this Site, including, without limitation, text, graphics, and links, are provided on an "as is" basis with no warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Teknology Computer Inc. disclaims all representations and warranties, express or implied, with respect to such information, services, products, and materials, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, freedom from computer virus, and implied warranties arising from course of dealing or course of performance. In addition, My Teknology Computer Inc. does not represent or warrant that the information accessible via this Site is accurate, complete or current. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice.
     
  6. Goods Damaged In Transit
    Do not accept a shipment if the box or boxes appear opened or damaged in transit. Should you accidentally receive and sign for a shipment that was damaged in transit, you must seek compensation from the carrier as our company is responsible only for the shipping of the goods and not damage that occurs in transit. Note that most couriers require any claims to be made immediately - usually within five days from the date of receipt.
     
  7. Insurance Limitations
    Unless otherwise indicated on your order, the carriers default insurance coverage will apply.  Should you wish to purchase extra insurance up to the full value of the goods, please contact us prior to placing an order.   Note that many premium credit cards offer insurance to the card holder covering the loss or damage of goods in transit - please contact your banking institution for more information.
     
  8. Personal Use Products
    Due to health concerns and regulations, most personal use products such as headphones, headsets, ear buds, microphones, mice, keyboards, keypads, etc. that can be worn or that come into close contact with hair, skin, or bodily fluids are non-returnable.   Defective products may be returned to the manufacturer for repair/replacement under the terms of their warranty.
     
  9. Non-Defective Products
    The return of non-defective factory-sealed goods is subject to the policies of our distributors and manufacturers and can vary from product to product.  Should you wish to return an item, simply send us an detailed email stating the goods you wish to return and the reason so we can pass on the information for approval.  Note that return of unwanted goods may be subject to a restocking fee and all non-product related fees (shipping, credit card processing fees, and insurance) are not refundable and may be deducted at our discretion.
